Northpeak’s quoting tool was a decade-old form buried three clicks deep, taking dispatchers an average of 15 minutes to generate a single freight quote. During peak season, the backlog cost them real bookings — customers were quoting with competitors before Northpeak’s form even loaded.
Our approach
We started with two weeks of dispatcher shadowing before opening a single design file — watching where the current tool actually broke down, not where the team assumed it did. The rebuild replaced a five-page form with a single guided flow, pulled live rate data into the quote screen instead of a separate lookup step, and shipped on a stack the internal team could maintain without calling us for every content change.
The result
Quote time dropped from 15 minutes to under 2. Within the first full peak season on the new platform, Northpeak reported a 34% increase in completed bookings and a support-ticket volume that finally stopped spiking in December.
